Abstract:Objective To explore the correlation between ABO blood group and supratentorial hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage. Methods The clinical data of patients diagnosed with supratentorial hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage in the Department of Neurosurgery of Changshu Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine from January 2018 to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the criteria of access and exclusion, they were classified into blood group A(145 people), blood group B(149 people), blood group AB(50 people), and blood group O (135 people) and the differences between different patients were analyzed. Results The chi-square test showed statistically significant differences between the hematoma volume of patients with blood group O and patients with other blood groups, and Glasgow outcome score of patients with basal ganglia hemorrhage with blood group O and patients with other blood types (P<0.05). Conclusion Hematoma volume was larger after supratentorial hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage in patients with blood group O, in which patients with basal ganglia hemorrhage had worse prognosis.
